EU4 - Australia Divided

Not gonna lie. I used cheats to make this. This is basically based off of an Alternate History idea I heard once.

The Japanese invade and annex Australia in 1944, and assert their dominance over the nation and the overall continent (so, the nation than, basically). In the year following, the Soviet Union and United States of America invade and "liberate" Australia. In the southeastern half, there is the "Eastern Free States of Australia", a capitalist republic, rebuilt under the guidance and on behalf of the USA. Than there was the semi-autonomous collection of states, the Soviet northwest, which was unofficially referred to in the international community as the "Western Socialist People's States of Australia". Along the borders between the two lay a massive DMZ, a long region across the continent, composed of electrified fences, unmapped landmines, and other unrecorded placed traps, as well as guard towers, one about every mile. There are only 4 working roads across the Australian DMZ, and those are rarely used, or maintained, and there are only 2 railways running across the DMZ. There are large areas of the DMZ that are composed of just lines of tanks on either sides of the danger zones (Danger Zone: area of traps, barbed wire, mines, the fence, ext.), and encampments, which haven't moved in decades. Despite it being called a "DMZ", "Demilitarized Zone", the Australian DMZ is one of the most militarized areas on Earth, with the Korean DMZ second in place. The Australian DMZ has many rumors surrounding it, one such rumor is that on both sides of the fence, there are armed Atomic Bombs, such as Fat Men, or Little Boys, designed like landmines, to explode, in order to halt an entire advancing army. Both the sides have accused each other of placing such weapons, but there is no conclusive evidence. The Eastern States are capable of developing their own nuclear weapons without major assistance from the USA, as well as the Western States, and both sides test nuclear weapons almost, as the UN puts it "Hazardously", close to each others' borders. Despite all these rumors and horrors, around 30% of the population of both sides live alongside the DMZ, the reason for this is that both sides maintain a heavily fortified, isolated zone, for a couple thousand miles, therefore, due to their high concentration of military personal, families of the personal and the personal themselves have built up towns, and even small cities have built up just only miles, maybe even a few hours walk from the DMZ lines. To this day, even after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, both sides, the Eastern Free States of Australia, and the now official Western Socialist People's States of Australia, are still divided, and continue to test nuclear weapons dangerously close to Each other. As of 2015, the culture and language of the Eastern Free States has been a combination of English Australian, and American Australian, as well as many others from NATO, and NATO allies, while in the Western People's States, the culture has been a combination of English Australian, and Russian Australian, as well as a many others cultures from the former Warsaw Pact and Warsaw Pact allies. There are statues both in the Eastern States capital of Sydney, and in the Western States capital of Perth, which much like the North Korean Unification Statue which honor a unified Korea, these two statutes honor a possibly future unified Australia, although both statutes vary in art style. In 2012, the West and East States signed a pact called the "Australian Peace Agreement", prohibiting anymore nuclear tests, and both sides have began working together in 2013 towards peaceful unification, but due to both sides being opposite forms of government, and the cultures differing over the decades, the unification negations have gotten nowhere. In 2014, to attempt to gain closer ties, the Australian State Space Agency was formed, an international space agreement between the two countries, in which they preform space flights, and since 2014, they have put 2 probes in orbit, a TV satellite, to allow the sharing of TV programs between the countries, and the other designed to strengthen cell phone reception, and have added, and gained a section on the ISS.
