WIP 1947 - Undead Deutschland

In just two years, central Europe has been reduced to a festering hellhole. Marching across the decayed ruins of civilization throughout the European Exclusion Zone, vast herds of undead monsters and abhorrent demonic monstrosities wage a continuous external and internal campaign of death and destruction against the living. In liberated France, General Dwight D. Eisenhower advised the general evacuation of all civilians north of Loire River and the complete evacuation of all civilians within fifty kilometers of the border with the exclusion zone; meanwhile, in Switzerland, the Swiss military has evacuated all military assets, and as many civilians as possible, to the Alpine mountains. Along the border with the USSR, Soviet military command has made the painful realization that almost the entirety of its conventional concentrated assault doctrine only strengthens their foe, as the vast Red Army clashes at close range, only for the Hitlerite hordes to come out in greater strength and numbers than when they entered the line of fire. In Great Britain, the public still recovers via US material aid from an unexpected outbreak that spread outward from Greater London like wildfire into the surrounding countryside and sparse urban centers, with Parliament and many organs of the British government formally relocated to the city of Birmingham.

Far-off in the distant American homeland in New Mexico, aided by elite European scientists - picked out from the multitudes of refugees fled from undead Europe - work diligently upon the earliest prototype atomic weapons to be used upon the largest of the zombie-infested necropolises of central Europe, while in near-vacant, military-ruled Paris, specialists from throughout the Allies as well as former Axis nations work together to figure out the source of the hellish plague spreading across Europe from its epicenter in Berlin.

A silly little work-in-progress I made inspired by the video game Zombie Army Trilogy. 

The soon-to-end second world war gets revitalized by reanimation of the German Wehrmacht into an undead legion which spreads throughout the population of what remains of Berlin then unto the rest of Europe.
